Day 1| Depart for Italy

Friday April 24

Sit back and relax as we make our way to Italy!

 

 

Day 2| Milan

Saturday April 25

Shake off the Jet Lag, we just touched down in Italy! Today we will enjoy a hop-on-hop-off tour of Milan! Milan is the biggest industrial city of Italy with many different industrial sectors and a magnetic point for designers, artists, photographers and models. We will have the opportunity to see Duomo di Milano, an amazing cathedral dating back to 1386!

Day 3| UCSC

Sunday April 26

Today we will make our way to the city of Brescia and tour Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. UCSC is a top ranked European university home to world renowned researchers and where all our academic sessions will be held.

Day 4| Lake Garda

Monday April 27

Today we have a lecture on the history & geography of Italy followed by a tour to Lake Garda. The lake is the largest in Italy and is known for it’s picturesque views and crystal clear waters.

Day 5| Thermal Baths

Tuesday April 28

Today’s discussion will be on Tourism & Business in Italy (North vs. South) followed by visits to local businesses. This afternoon we spend time relaxing in Lake Garda’s famous thermal baths.

Day 6| Italian Cooking Class

Wednesday April 29

Today our lecture is on Italian food culture followed by an Italian cooking class

 

 

Day 7| Venice

Thursday April 30

Today we will day trip to Venice! Venice is unique environmentally, architecturally, and historically, and in its days as a republic the city was styled la serenissima (“the most serene” or “sublime”). It remains a major Italian port in the northern Adriatic Sea and is one of the world’s oldest tourist and cultural centres.

Day 8| Milan

Friday May 1

After reflecting on what we have learned we will travel back to Milan for a farewell dinner and a free evening of exploration

 

 

Day 9| Depart Italy

Saturday May 2

Sit back, relax and reflect on the amazing experience that was Italy!
